When water damage affects your ceiling

Water damage in multi level home can affect flooring, sub-flooring and ceilings.  This Gainesville family had a water loss in the main level of their home and the water flowed through the flooring on the main level down into their finished basement.  Depending on the amount of water that is in the drywall ceiling often times the drywall can be dried in place.  When the ceiling is over-saturated and is beginning to sag, as was the case with this customer, the drywall must be removed. In addition to making sure that any affected drywall is either dried in place or is removed, we also make sure that the ceiling joist and the sub-floor of the affected rooms above are dry when the job is complete.
